I have heard that it may not a problem if using the Vista USB drivers, but I can't stand Vista so that's not an option. Has anyone else had trouble with low USB audio on a recently purchased IC-7200? (There was not a note in the box indicating that it had been fixed.) I called Icom customer service and was assured that the low USB audio problem seen in the original rigs had been fixed and yet I have the trouble. I was under the impression that Icom had solved the problem and that it should not affect models with a late serial number. Even when the playback audio settings are set to the max in control panel, the "audio %" as shown in DM780 peaks out at 20% with RF gain set to max on a hot signal. No change in the input signal level in DM780.Ĭonfirmed the correct USB input selected in the soundcard ––-> Options tab in DM780. Well, I increased the USB level from the default 50% to 100%. Thanks for the help, HankEllis and Jax2Chl. I'll confirm everything this evening and post the results. Everything works, but the input signal level doesn't get above the high teens usually. Then adjust the sliders as required.I believe both of those sliders are all the way up. Make sure a USB sound card is selected which is what the rig should be. Click the "Soundcard" button at the menu bar. You've probably already done it but check the input and output audio levels through DM-780. Sounds like a good place to start. It's where I would go. It must still be at the 50% default level because I haven't changed it.
